Hi Love!

Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to honor the holiday by tapping into your mystic + spiritual side a little bit deeper. Spirituality is a big word in the wellness community, but what does it really mean? For us, we practice ancient teachings and apply them to our modern day lives and teach others how to do the same. Then, most importantly, we follow our intuition and downloads from our angels, guides, and the universe/divine/god (whatever you like to call it!) and our practices support being a clear channel to connect to our higher self and the cosmos to receive these downloads.

Your mystic + spiritual self is your true self. It’s seeing yourself through the eyes of love and acknowledging the full power you encompass. It’s recognizing the strength, confidence, beauty, grace and fire that is already within you. It’s coming to this physical plane and knowing what your true purpose is in this life. It’s what we align with every day and what we’re here to help you discover.

Becoming a mystic and spiritual soul doesn’t necessarily mean performing spells and making magic potions...although we pretty much do this in our own way LOL. What it really means though is tapping into this power of your being means harnessing energy that already vibrates throughout your body and tuning into your intuition, allowing messages to be transmitted down to you that you already know, deep within, are true.

It takes practice and commitment and creating space and time to do it, but it is all so beyond worth it. So where can you begin? On our podcast, we chat about what it means to commit to a sadhana practice (Ep. 36) + how to do it. Trust us, we know how hard it can be in the beginning to commit to doing something every day, but once you do you’re more readily able to receive messages and access the full energy of your being.

Sadhana means daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavors and it's your personal, unique spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. It’s doing yourself a favor and tuning up your nervous system and attuning yourself to your highest inner self every day.  Meditation is one of the best mind exercises to relieve tension and to attain serenity. Just slowing down your breath, becoming aware of it, and making your breaths longer and deeper to send more oxygen to your cells, organs, and brain will do wonders for your mind, body and spirit and calm your nervous system down immediately!

Our sadhana includes movement, meditation, breathwork,  prayer, visualization and affirmations.

Just like every witch has a broom, a cauldron and book of spells we have our own tools for tapping into our intuition and energetic vibrations. Here are some of our all-time favorites:

Crystals - You’ve heard us rant and rave about crystals before. There’s such a strong energy pull in each crystal that finds its way into your life. One of the most healing things we can all do is be in connection with Mother Earth! If you can’t get outside and connect with nature as much as you want (or even if you do) crystals are an amazing way to connect to the Earth and ground yourself. We love to work with crystals—selenite and quartz are some of our favorites! We also heard a message in a channeling recently that stones are so powerful for grounding like limestone and any simple rocks from the Earth. We even recently felt called to some in Joshua Tree that we have had for a while now (of course!). Crystals/Earth rocks are an amazing tool to raise your vibration and a huge part of our lifestyle. Plus, they’re so delicious to meditate with!

Palo Santo/Sage - Every day is a great day to sage (and we really do sage almost every day)! Sage has been around for years and years; it’s an ancient practice. Sage and Palo Santo are great tools for clearing space, getting rid of negativity and bringing in positivity. It can be used in a new sacred space (before yoga, before meditation, when guests entering or leaving), when you’ve moved into a new space, or when you feel a space needs clearing. It releases anything that holds you back from a spiritual connection. You can check out our YouTube video here on how and when to sage, if you have questions.

Kundalini Yoga - We only like kundalini, just a little. Ha! There’s a reason we both became Kundalini yoga teachers and commit to this practice every single day. It’s so, so good for you.  A lot of people don't realize that Kundalini was the first yoga created and all other yogas are derived from it. For us, Kundalini allows us to awaken the healer within and connect to our authentic selves as we balance our energy system and release any blocked energy. It’s a gorgeous spiritual yoga practice.

Create a Sacred Space/Alter - We love creating a sacred space and alters for our meditation and spiritual practice. Feel free to put pictures of people you admire (we love Yogi Bhajan pics and anyone else who you love and receive healing from), pictures of what you are manifesting or your vision board, malas, crystals, anything that you have gathered like feathers or coins messages, etc. Creating a space that has good energy helps us to stay consistent and enhance our practices!

We love these tools and meditate every day with the ancient Kundalini teachings in the early morning hours and most days at night and sometimes throughout the day too. We’re never not meditating, or connecting in some form! It has changed our lives and we continue to go deeper with it. Our lives and our mental, physical, and spiritual health keep getting better and we love sharing this lifestyle we live and being Kundalini yoga and meditation instructors.

When you develop a regular sadhana, you take control of your life. Develop a deep sadhana and you open the doors of experience. Commit to meet your higher self each day and your life becomes your own; your life will bear the signature of your soul; your radiance will express the meaningful intimacy of the Infinite in each moment.

If you are just starting out, you can start with breathing long and deep and thinking about a few things you're grateful for first thing in the morning….before you check your phone is highly recommended!!

This lifestyle and aligning with our connection to the cosmos and Mother Earth makes us feel more mystical every day.

Happy Halloween, goddesses!
