The emotional scale is large and expansive and has all of the human emotions on it. You’re not always going to be in the love, bliss and abundant high vibrational emotions, but finding ways to slow down and center yourself allows you to send love to those lower vibrational emotions, heal the root cause of the feeling and move up into a more aligned and happier being. The most resourceful and easiest way to do this? For us it has been Kundalini, of course!!

People always ask how we stay so energized and optimistic? The answer is, we commit to our practice, to feel EVERYTHING and go into the lower emotions like anger with our practice so we can take continue to elevate ourselves and the betterment of the planet.

“When the inverted anger becomes part of the body, the simple effect is that you have absolutely no relationship with your Self... Inferiority complex or superiority complex are a cover-up of inner anger. Manipulation and lying are parts of inner anger. Not being self-sustaining or having a foundation to work it out is an inner anger. Misbehavior, wrong calculation, self-destruction, destroying the business, destroying the relationship are all inner anger...On the other hand, anger comes from the place of the Agaan Granthi. It is the area of the heart, it is the blood, it is the circulation, it is the diaphragm, it is the heart pumping. The whole life depends on it. So in the center of the heart is a furnace. Either it can cook for you or it can burn down your house and there is nothing in between. That is the tragedy of it.”

-Yogi Bhajan

Ever had a day where everything that could go wrong went wrong? Maybe you slept through your alarm, wound up stuck in traffic, spilled coffee all over your white shirt, got a parking ticket, missed a deadline, got in an argument with your love, on and on until you find yourself exploding at the next person you talk to. That’s not a great situation to be in. Facing anger, especially during times of high stress and anxiety, happens ALL the time. It’s our job to know how to navigate it and show up to it with love + patience rather than holding it in longer and causing an overactive Sacral Chakra and off-balance Heart Chakra. We use the following meditation to help relieve inner anger and have had incredible results. Tara even healed UTI’s and persisting health issues no doctor could fix with this meditation. Britt has been able to forgive and heal emotional pain from childhood through this one too and it’s beyond powerful.

Fists of Anger Meditation

When you’re completely overcome with anger, so much so that you can’t stop reeling and spinning from the intensity of it, we encourage you to use this meditation to channel the disturbed energy, breathe through it and release.

Here is the YouTube video where Britt shares exactly how to do this, the written version is below and the full-length video you can follow along with and do is in 528 Academy!!

Tune in with the ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO which means, “I bow to the divine wisdom within.” Then, sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine and eyes closed.

Touch each thumb to the base of the pinky fingers. Close the rest of the fingers over the thumbs to form fists.

Make an O-shaped mouth and breathe through it with a strong, rhythmic inhale/exhale that is in sync with your arm movements. Raising the arms, begin a backstroke type movement over the head, alternating each side (right/left) as you swing up, over and back around again.

**If you are pregnant or on the first three days of your moon cycle don’t pump the navel point and do long deep breathing in and out of the O shaped mouth instead- as always check with your Dr. and use your intuition on it.

Begin the backstroke movement and the coordinated breath with a strong and continuous movement. Intentionally think about anything and everything that makes you angry. Continue this laser focus on bringing up the anger throughout the meditation, increasing the movement and breath.

To end, interlock the fingers, stretch the arms up overhead, palms facing up, deep inhale through the O mouth- picture yourself surrounded in white, healing light- exhale out the O mouth.

Do this for up to 3 minutes.
